about
Whoopensocker is Wisconsin slang, derived from German, meaning something remarkably big. The commonly used word "whooper" comes from the word. The sound of the music attempts to capture the essence of the word with its big guitar sounds and heavy rhythm section. The lyrical content explores the concept of originality in songwriting and the trap of either accidentally or intentionally "ripping off" music which has come before.
